PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetron capable of sufficiently exhibiting a getter effect even if input power is decreased to an extent for reducing reduce noise or an electron emitting area of a filament coil is decreased. SOLUTION: A portion 122Aa which contacts with one end 121a of a filament coil 121 of an upper end hat 122A being a component of a cathode structure 12A is made thin and placed in a non-contact state with a center lead 124. Thereby, heat which is generated in the filament coil 121 is transmitted to the upper end hat 122A without being transmitted directly to the center lead 124, thereby, the getter effect can be sufficiently exhibited even if the input power is decreased to the extent for reducing the noise or the electron emitting area of the filament coil 121 is decreased.
