PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting tube in which distortion is less likely to remain and which is compact, and to provide a discharge lamp, and a manufacturing method of the discharge lamp. SOLUTION: This discharge lamp is equipped with a light-emitting tube LB which is composed by connecting the outer tube 5 so as to surround the inner tube 1 having a discharge part 11 and in which first and second welding parts 52a, 52b are respectively formed on the tip side and the rear end side thereof, and a socket 6 into which the second welding part 52b of the light-emitting tube LB is inserted and held therein. After heating a part 52a' where the first welding part is to be formed, the first welding part 52a is formed by pressing the outer tube 5 against the inner tube 1, and the second welding part 52b is formed by putting a space 51 between the inner tube 1 and the outer tube 5 into negative pressure, and then by heating and making a part 52b' shrunk where the second welding part is to be formed.
