PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device normally reproducing recording information of a recording medium while complementing damaged recording information of a disk recording medium by complement information and always holding useful complement information. SOLUTION: The recording information of the optical disk is reproduced while acquiring the complement information complementing the damaged recording information of the optical disk from a server, storing it in a saving area of a storage part, and complementing the damaged recording information by the complement information. When the capacity of a free space in the saving area is less than a capacity required for saving the acquired new complement information, the degree of usefulness of the complement information is evaluated on the basis of the lapse of time from the final reference time to the complement information saved in the saving area, the frequency of the reference, and required acquisition costs. The complement information is deleted from the saving area in ascending order of the degree of usefulness to increase the free space, and the new complement information is stored in the free space.
