PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-in-water (O/W) type cosmetic blended with a large amount of oily agent and an electrolyte which exhibits favorable temporal stability. SOLUTION: The oil-in-water (O/W) type emulsion cosmetic is prepared by blending with components of (a) a sucrose fatty acid ester, (b) an oily agent, (c) an electrolyte, (d) water and (e) an acrylic acid based polymer, and characterized in that the component (b) accounts for 50-80 mass% of the cosmetic and the electric conductivity of the cosmetic is 0.05-4.3 S/m at 20°C.
