PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for conveyor belts and provide a conveyor belt equipped with excellent abrasion resistance and with an enhanced cutting resistance, tearing resistance, and also enhanced fire retardancy. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for conveyor belts is formed by including organic fibers in the rubber component. The organic fibers should preferably be aramid and/or cellulose short fibers of.
