The control center is adapted to receive data, process the data based at least in part on a rule, and notify a user when the rule is satisfied. Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a method for improved data communications within a remote sensor system. The method includes detecting an event, generating data based at least in part on the event, processing the data based at least in part on a rule, and notifying a user when the rule is satisfied.
