A chair-type massage machine capable of selectively treating the lower legs and feet of a person to be treated by a treating section of a foot rest and also capable of adjusting the position of the treating section along the longitudinal direction of the lower legs in order to treat each portion of the lower legs. The foot rest (4) has the treating section (4a) for treating a portion of the person's body and also has a moving mechanism (4b) for moving the treating section (4a) between a position corresponding to the lower legs of the person sitting on a seat section (2) and a position corresponding to the soles of the person. The moving mechanism (4b) is formed so that the position of the treating section (4a) can be adjusted at the position corresponding to the lower legs, along the longitudinal direction of the lower legs.
