913,122. Bearing cages. SVENSKA KULLAGERFABRIKEN A.B. June 2, 1960 [June 3, 1959], No. 19570/60. Class 12 (1). In a ball or roller-bearing the cage comprises two annular rings 11, 12, spaced apart by members 13, the smallest distance A between the members 13 being less than the diameter of the balls or rollers, and the portions of the rings between the members 13 being flexible. The balls or rollers are assembled in the cage by flexing the portions of the rings until the distance between the members 13 is B, and then allowing the rings to return to their original position to hold the balls or rollers. The cage may be made of synthetic resinous material, or the members 13 may be metal, spot-welded to resilient metal rings. The members 13 may be external of the rings 11, 12. |
