A system and a method for providing an AD(ADvertisement) service based on a main residential area are provided to estimate the main residential area of a customer by referring to a moving path and use details of a mobile terminal, and offer the customer a banner AD corresponding to the estimated main residential area. A mobile network provides location registration information and call details of a mobile terminal(110) when a member uses a call channel. An AD providing server(240) estimates a main residential area of the member by analyzing a location using a call channel based on a moving path and use details of the mobile terminal, searches banner AD registered to a shop included in the estimated main residential area from the AD database, and provides the searched banner AD to a webpage or a messenger webpage of the member by referring to member information. A web server(230) receives the banner AD from the AD providing server, and inserts the received banner AD into a webpage and transmits the webpage to a browser when a webpage request is received from the web browser. The AD providing server includes a location information server and a member information server. |
