ELECTROPHORETIC DISPLAY AND THE MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

An electrophoretic display device and its fabrication method are provided to improve display quality by omitting a PET layer on an upper substrate to reduce color mixture due to light diffusion. A gate line is formed on an upper substrate(110). A data line(171) is formed to cross the gate line to define a pixel area. A source electrode(173) is connected with the data line, and a drain electrode(175) faces the source electrode to define a channel region. A color filter(190) is formed on the upper substrate. The first electrode is formed on the color filter and electrically connected with the drain electrode. A lower substrate(210) faces the upper substrate. The second electrode is formed on the lower substrate. A fluid(310) and a plurality of charged particles(330a,330b) are interposed between the first and second electrodes.
