A parking brake release prevention device is provided to prevent a detent from being moved even if the detent is released from a gear part and to reduce an accident by installing fixing units at two ends of an extension shaft and transmitting a control signal to an ER fluid through first and second switches. A detent(31) is rotated upwards with as distance as in which a parking lever(2) is rotated upwards. The detent is engaged with a gear part(8) of a fixed bracket(7) to prevent a parking brake from being released. An extension shaft(13) is extended to two sides of a rotary shaft(12) formed at the center part of the detent. Fixing units(11) fix the detent at two ends of the extension shaft. A controller supplies or shuts down operation voltage to or from the fixing units. First and second switches operate the controller to be on/off. The fixing units are formed with fixing parts at two ends of the extension shaft. An ER fluid is placed in a housing. |
