The present invention relates to the use of a fusion protein comprising an antibody part which specifically recognises the oncofetal extra domain B (ED-B) of fibronectin, an effector part and optionally one or more fusion protein linker(s) and/or antibody linker(s), for the manufacturing of medicaments for the treatment of atherosclerosis
