Masonry bed reinforcement

A masonry bed reinforcement 2 is connected at intervals to an inner protruding stiffening brace 3. The masonry bed reinforcement 2 may be installed as a ring beam. The stiffening brace 3 stands away from the inner face of the wall when in use so as not to impede moisture running down the wall. The stiffening brace 3 may have holes or slots 4 to accommodate temporary lateral bracing and subsequent permanent fixings for floor joists and roof trusses.
