A vehicle controlling method using damping force control of a damper is provided to prevent over/understeer of the vehicle and to improve steering stability by judging the over/understeer of the vehicle according to speeds and steering angles of the vehicle and then controlling damping force according to the damping force determined by yaw rate and lateral acceleration. A yaw rate(30) is calculated by measuring a speed(10) and a steering angle(20) of a vehicle. The yaw rate is measured. An oversteer or understeer state(50) is sensed by comparing the calculated yaw rate with the measured yaw rate. A lateral acceleration(40) of the vehicle is measured. A cornering force(60) of front and rear wheels is calculated using the measured yaw rate and the measured lateral acceleration. A damping force(70) of the damper is determined with the cornering force and the yaw rate and the damping force of the front or rear wheel is controlled according to the determined damping force. |
