<p>The method involves setting up an end device (24) e.g. monitoring device such as camera, with a tunnel-client which is a software that develops a secured shell connection, and pre-configuring the device with an access data and an individualized data. The end device is connected with a local area network (LAN) (26), and an Internet Protocol address and a gateway address are retrieved. A bidirectional tunnel-connection (30) is established by connecting servers (10, 28) using the access data of the pre-configuration of the end device, where the connection is tested at regular intervals.
