A holder for a cutting tool is provided to manufacture an arbor at a low cost by simplifying the shape of the arbor. A holder for a cutting tool comprises a mounting section(24) having a cylindrical shape. The mounting section extends along an axis and is mounted at a spindle. A clamping section(21) is located at the front terminal of the mounting section and extends toward the outer peripheral portion of the mounting section. A cutting head is detachably mounted on a head maintaining section(31). The head maintaining section is formed with a mounting hole(28) that extends toward the base terminal along the axis. A female screw section is formed in the mounting hole such that the cutting head is coupled with the mounting hole through screws. The mounting hole is open toward the front terminal of the clamping section.
