An oscillating weight for recharging an energy source of a portable appliance is provided to maintain balance movement through ordinary movement of a wearer. The first weight is fixed to a first drive arbor(6) which includes a pinion meshing having a kinematic chain. The first weight includes two arms(13a,13b) whose ends are coupled to each other by a felloe(14), an armature having a fixing ring(11), and a recess(8) having an annular sector for allowing displacement of the second weight.
