An apparatus for driving a display device and the display device including the same are provided to enhance the reliability of a display device by driving transistors of the display device constantly irrespective of external temperature. An apparatus for driving a display device having plural pixels with a switching element includes a driving voltage generator(700) and a gate signal generator(750). The driving voltage generator which includes a DC/DC(Direct Current) converter, generates a driving voltage irrespective of the temperature. The gate signal generator includes a first voltage above a reference temperature using the driving voltage and generates a gate voltage having a higher voltage than the first voltage under the reference temperature. The gate voltage under the reference temperature is linearly varied during a temperature range.
