A method for manufacturing a thin molded optical lens is provided to allow a molded optical lens to be used for an optical lens constituting a small camera unit. A method for manufacturing a thin molded optical lens comprises the steps of injection-molding annular olefin-based resin and filling the annular olefin-based resin in a cavity of a molding device, and manufacturing a molded optical lens. The molded optical lens includes a flange section and a lens section, which are coupled with each other through a concave section. The flange section has a thickness of 0.5mm or less. The concave section has a thickness less than that of the flange section, and has a diameter of 10mm or less. The olefin-based resin is filled in the cavity at the speed of 2500mm/s to 20000mm/s at maximum.
