A plasma display panel is provided to reduce reflection of external light by coloring a front substrate with two colors mixed with subtractive colors. A first substrate and a second substrate are placed opposite to each other. Barrier ribs(16) are disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate to define discharge cells. Address electrodes are formed to correspond to the discharge cells, and display electrodes are formed in the discharge cells in a direction crossing the address electrodes. A dielectric layer(28) is formed to cover the display electrodes, and is colored by first color. A protective layer(29) is formed on the dielectric layer, and is colored by a second color which subtractive color of the first color.
