A relay server for calculating medical expenses is provided to enable a hospital to prevent unnecessary work for issuing evidential documents needed for claiming insurance money to a policyholder, and enable the policyholder to save time/expense needed for receiving/presenting the evidential documents by making the policyholder pay only the medical expenses excluding the insurance money based on electronic payment guarantee between the hospital and an insurance company. A receiver receives electronic document data for policyholder information, insurance product information, and medical history from a hospital server(100). A checker authenticates a policyholder and checks insurance company information matched with an insurance product by reading the policyholder information and the insurance product information included in the received electronic document data. A transmitter transmits the electronic document data to an insurance company server(300) matched with the insurance company information. A relay server(200) relays guarantee data received from the insurance company server to the hospital server when the insurance company server generates/transmits the guarantee data matched with the checked information after checking insurance items/insurance limit. |
