摘要 A tension control apparatus of a parking brake for an automobile is provided to reduce maintenance cost of the vehicle by moving an equalizer to a front cable direction automatically so that proper tension is applied to a rear cable through a piezoelectric element, even if a brake lining is abraded and a gap between the brake lining and a rear disk plate is large. A tension control apparatus of a parking brake for an automobile comprises a gap sensor(900), an ECU(Electronic Control Unit,800), and a piezoelectric element(700). The gap sensor senses a gap between a brake lining(320) of a rear wheel brake(300) and a rear disk plate(310) when operating a parking lever(200). The ECU judges a gap value sensed by the gap sensor and a gap value set to generate the braking force to the braking lining when operating the parking lever. The piezoelectric element moves the equalizer to a direction of a front cable(500) automatically and keeps the proper tension value of rear cables(400). A pressure sensor is installed between the piezoelectric element and an adjust nut(600) to sense pressure when operating the parking lever.
