<p>The seal (1) has a transmission partial-area (5) for transmitting a contact force between a cylinder head (3) and a cylinder sleeve (2), and a weak partial area (6), where only small or no contact force is transmitted between the head and the sleeve in a mounted condition. The partial areas are designed as a single piece and made from matrix-material e.g. steel. A hollow space is provided in the weak partial area, where the seal is designed such that it seals an entire front area of the sleeve against the cylinder head.</p> |
