THE METHOD OF DRIVING FOR PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to obtain a stable address discharge by reducing the delay time of an address discharge according to the reduction of the scan standby time of scan electrode line groups. Plural scan electrodes are divided into n groups. An address period is varied in proportion to the sequence value of a scan electrode group executing an address period on the divided scan electrode groups. The address period mixed with a sustain period is executed on a unit group. After the mixed period terminates, a common sustain period(CS1) is executed on overall scan electrode group during a period. An additional sustain period(AS1) is selectively executed on respective scan electrode group so as to satisfy a gray scale degree.
