<p>A mobile communication system having an auto TTS function and a control method thereof are provided to check the reproduction of DMB/VOD when an SMS message is received during the reproduction of the DMB/VOD, convert the received SMS message into a voice, and output the voice, thereby maximizing user's convenience. A mobile communication system comprises a terminal device(1), a wireless access network system(2), and a media transmitting server(4). The terminal device determines whether DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting)/VOD(Video On Demand) are reproduced so as for a DMB/VOD reproduction screen not to be covered by a preset pop-up screen when an SMS message is received during the reproduction of the DMB/VOD and converts the content of the text message into a voice through a TTS(Text To Speech) method according to the determination result, and outputs the voice to the outside. The wireless access network system transmits the text message to the terminal device through an SMS(Short Message Service) management server(3) and relays DMB/VOD signals. The media transmitting server transmits the created DMB/VOD signals to the terminal device through a communication tower.</p> |
