A method for manufacturing a plasma display panel is provided to improve the yield by forming an address electrode and a dielectric layer with one sheet and laminating the sheet on a substrate to form the address electrode and the dielectric layer. Display electrodes, a dielectric layer and a protective layer are formed on a front substrate(ST100). Address electrodes, a dielectric layer, barrier ribs and a phosphor layer are formed on a rear substrate(ST200). The front substrate and the rear substrate are sealed to form an airtight discharge space between the front substrate and the rear substrate(ST300). A discharge gas is injected into the discharge space, after an impurity gas is discharged from the discharge space(ST400). The step of making the rear substrate includes forming an address electrode pattern and a dielectric film with one sheet, laminating the sheet on the rear substrate, and firing the sheet to form the address electrodes and the dielectric layer on the rear substrate(ST210).
