An electrical connector includes a base member wherein a slot penetrating in a board thickness direction is formed; a contact, which is arranged in the slot to be brought into contact with an electrode of a subject to be inspected on the base member, and connects the electrode with an electric circuit of a tester; and an elastic member. The contact is provided with a fixing piece which is fixedly held by the base member in the slot to be connected with the electric circuit, and a movable piece, which is arranged in the slot and is electrically connected with the fixing piece. The fixing piece is provided with a guide plane for guiding the movable piece toward a contact position where the movable piece is permitted to be in contact with the electrode, and the movable piece is supported to be slidable on the guide plane to receive an elastic biasing force toward the contact position from the elastic member.
