[Class 120(ii)] A device for collecting broken ends in a spinning machine of the kind in which a series of suction pipes are located in the paths of the threads and communicate with .a suction conduit has the pipes 6 formed with an L-shape and arranged so that they project in one longitudinal direction at one side of the conduit 5 and in the opposite direction at the other side, in order that the pipes 6 of one side may be interchangeable with those of the other side. The conduit 5 preferably is provided with a bottom flat plate and a convex upper shell portion, the edges of which are engageable with grooved edges of the bottom plate.
