摘要 <p>A wireless communication system is provided to shorten the time for access switching by shortening the time required to redetermine a candidate AP(Access Point) even though an AP(Access Point) to be switched rejects a wireless terminal's access when the wireless terminal performs switching for handover to the AP. An AP(200) comprises a bandwidth information acquisition unit and an access candidate notification unit. The bandwidth information acquisition unit acquires the service bandwidth information of other APs. In the case of rejecting an access switching request from a wireless communication terminal which carries out handover, the access candidate notification unit provides the information of a candidate AP to the wireless communication terminal, based on the acquired service bandwidth information. In addition, the AP comprises a selection unit. The selection unit selects another accessible AP to secure a bandwidth necessary for the wireless communication terminal to maintain ongoing communication, based on the acquired service bandwidth information. In this case, the access candidate notification unit provides the information of the selected AP to the wireless communication terminal according to the access switching request from the wireless communication terminal.</p>
