PIEZOELECTRIC COMPONENT HAVING A MAGNETIC LAYER

The component comprises the piezoelectric compound (1-x)Pb(Mg 1/3Nb 2/3)O 3- (x)PbTiO 3, where x = 0.2 to 0.5. It is alternatively the piezoelectric compound (1-y)Pb(Zn 1/3Nb 2/3)O 3- (y)PbTiO 3, where y = 0 to 0.2. The compound forms a substrate (1) and it has at least one thin magnetic layer (2) coated onto it. The compound is a single crystal or has a polycrystalline structure. The magnetic coating is a ferromagnetic rare earth of given formula.
