<p>An acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for polarizing films is provided to suppress a reduction in workability of a polarizing film without changing main characteristics such as adhesion, durability, and reliability causable under a high-temperature or high-temperature/high-humidity condition. An acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for polarizing films includes (meth)acrylic copolymers containing an alkyl(meth)acrylic acid ester monomer and a monomer containing a copolymerizable photoinitiator group, wherein the alkyl has 2-14 carbon atoms. The composition has a gel fraction, represented by the formula 1 of B/Ax100, of 10-55%, and an expansion ratio, represented by the formula 2 of C/B, of 30-110. Sol obtained by eluting the final cross-linked adhesive with ethylacetate has a weight average molecular weight of 600,000 or more. In the formulae, A is the mass of the composition, B is the dry weight of insoluble materials after the composition is deposited by ethylacetate at ambient temperature for 48 hours, C is the weight of the insoluble materials swollen by ethylacetate after the composition is deposited by ethylacetate at ambient temperature for 48 hours.</p> |
