A direct data transmission apparatus and method are provided to transfer data between portable devices, such as a USB and an MP3, easily and directly without support of a host system. An apparatus for direct data transmission between portable devices comprises a power supply(100), first and second USB ports(PT1,PT2), an input part(210), a main controller(300), a USB system(400), a buffer memory(500), and a display part(220). The first and second USB ports are connected with first and second devices(DE1,DE2). The main controller controls the data between the first and second devices. The USB system transfers the data to the second device through a USB interface method. The buffer memory stores the predetermined data of the data between the first and second devices temporarily. The display part displays the information according to the control of the main controller. |
