ARABIDOPSIS THALIANA ATPFPalpha;2 PROMOTER AND PLANT TRANSFORMED WITH THE SAME

An Arabidopsis thaliana AtPFPalpha2(pyrophosphate:fructose-6-phosphate 1-phosphotransferase alpha 2) promoter is provided to control the expression of AtPFPalpha2 gene and isolate DNA-binding factors, so that the promoter controls the carbohydrate metabolism in cytoplasm. An Arabidopsis thaliana AtPFPalpha2 promoter has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 and induces expression of AtPFPalpha2 gene specifically to trichome, cotyledon vein, root, or stamen and pistil of leaf. A method for producing a transgenic plant comprises the steps of: preparing a recombinant expression vector containing Arabidopsis thaliana AtPFPalpha2 promoter; transforming a plant cell with the recombinant expression vector; and regenerating the transformed plant cell, wherein the plant is Arabidopsis thaliana.
