An information processing device, an environment setting device, and an environment setting method are provided to switch a network connection environment setting to an optimal setting automatically according to a location of the information processing device. A plurality kinds of communicators correspond to a plurality of networks and enable an information processing device to use the networks through the communicators. An environment recognizer(510) determines the communicator connected to the network among the communicators, performs search by using the communicator connected to the network, detects a MAC(Media Access Control) address of a network environment connected to the information processing device by searching the MAC address matched with the MAC address of the connected network environment from a MAC address table, and recognizes the network environment by using the detected MAC address. An environment setting part(520) sets an OS(Operating System) environment information for using the network through the communicator, which is connected to the network in the recognized network environment, to the information processing device. The information processing device includes a table storing the MAC addresses and the environment recognizer. An application program controller(530) includes an application program control table(531) in which the stop or execution of an application program is recorded. The application program control table executes or stops the application program by responding to the recognized network environment based on the application program control table.
