METHOD FOR CALCULATING TENSION APPLIED TO CABLE TENSION SENSOR AND DERIVING METHOD THEREOF

A method for calculating tension in a cable tension sensor and a deriving method thereof are provided to detect actual tension change applied to a cable by converting electrical energy from the tension sensor to a tension at a reference ambient temperature. A method for calculating tension in a cable tension sensor includes the steps of: changing magnetic field and tension of a cable and measuring output voltage of the tension sensor(S11); checking intensity of the magnetic field showing linearity(S13); measuring output voltage in the strength of the magnetic field after changing temperature and tension in the cable(S15); setting a reference temperature(S17); calculating the difference between output voltage under the reference temperature and output voltage at a different temperature(S19); obtaining temperature correction formula according to temperature change using the voltage difference(S21); obtaining an output voltage formula at the reference temperature according to tension change using the temperature correction formula(S23); and converting the output voltage formula to a tension calculation formula(S25).
