660,297. Briquetting foodstuffs. AKTIESELSKABET ATLAS. Jan. 31, 1949, No. 2647/49. Class 49. Dried fish, meats or foodstuffs consisting mainly of animal tissue are briquetted by pressing them into blocks, each as high as the desired briquettes, in a mould having a base several times greater in area than that of each briquette, each block then being divided into briquettes by cuts at right angles to its base. A pile of blocks separated by thin uniform plates may be pressed, without heating, in the mould and the plates may be coated with paraffin wax and/or a high-melting wax to prevent sticking. |
