Process for the regeneration of a zeolitic catalyst, at least partially exhausted, deriving from a preparation process of a monoalkylated aromatic compound by means of the alkylation of an aromatic hydrocarbon substrate with an alkylating agent selected from olefins containing from two to four carbon atoms, isopropanol and mixtures of isopropanol and propylene or by means of the transalkylation of an aromatic substrate selected among benzene, toluene or their mixtures, with one or more polyalkylated aromatic hydrocarbons, effected in the presence of a zeolitic catalyst and in at least partially liquid phase, whereby the regeneration process comprising subjecting the exhausted catalyst to treatment with an aromatic hydrocarbon alone in liquid phase at a temperature equal or higher than temperature at which the alkylation or transalkylation process, from which the exhausted catalyst derives, was carried out, whereby the regeneration temperature being between 200 to 290 °C. |
