<p>A frequency allocation method of a mobile communication system is provided to enable a base station to allocate a frequency, which a primary user does not use, to a terminal by using time patterns if it is impossible to allocate a frequency owing to too many channel allocation requests of the terminal, thereby lowering an overall call loss rate of the system. Frequency information is stored according to time patterns for each frequency band and each cell. In case of a channel allocation request of a terminal, it is decided whether further allocation is impossible. If so, an unused frequency which is not used by a primary user is allocated to the terminal by using the time patterns, based on the frequency information. In case of allocation time when the unused frequency is given to the primary user, another unused frequency is allocated to the terminal.</p> |
