A polyimide film produced mainly by the imidization of para-phenylenediamine and 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl ether as diamine components and pyromellitic acid dianhydride as an acid dianhydride component, wherein an inorganic particle having a particle diameter of 0.01 to 1.5 µm, an average particle diameter of 0.05 to 0.7 µm, and such a particle size distribution that inorganic particles having a particle diameter of 0.15 to 0.60 µm account for 80 vol% or more of the total particle volume is dispersed in the film at a ratio of 0.1 to 0.9 wt% relative to the weight of the film resin.
