A method for controlling the fluidity of a phosphor is provided to reduce the density of a phosphor, to reduce the precipitation rate in a polymer encapsulant, to increase the hydrophobicity of a phosphor, and to prevent micro-turbulence. A method for controlling the fluidity of a phosphor comprises the steps of: treating the surface of a phosphor with a silane compound containing a double bond; and mixing the surface-treated phosphor, monomers and a polymerization initiator, and polymerizing the monomers from the surface of the phosphor to form a polymer layer on the surface of the phosphor. The silane compound contains at least one alkoxy group and an alkenyl group having at least one allyl or vinyl group.
