An LCD device and a driving method thereof are provided to ensure a time required in a normal state of an output buffer of a data driver by displaying images in front and rear display units sequentially. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a display plate(300) and data and gate drivers(500,400). The display plate with first and second display units opposite to each other, includes first and second pixels displayed in the first and second display units. The data driver supplies first and second data signals to the first and second pixels, respectively. The gate driver supplies gate signals to the first and second pixels. The gate and data drivers supply gate and the first data signals to the first pixel during a first interval, and the gate and the second data signals to the second pixel during a second interval.
