Provided is an electrochemical device by which arrangement efficiency of a bonded body is improved and excellent sealing characteristics can be ensured. An electrolyte membrane (11) is provided with a reaction region (11A) sandwiched between a fuel electrode (12) and an oxygen electrode (13), and a peripheral region (11B) exposed from between the fuel electrode (12) and the oxygen electrode (13). A connecting member (20) has a bent section (23) between two flat sections (21, 22). An adhesive layer (14) is arranged in the peripheral region (11B) of the electrolyte membrane (11) and the bent section (23) of the connecting member (20) is bonded to the adhesive layer (14) to improve arrangement efficiency of the bonded body (10) and to ensure excellent sealing characteristics. The adhesive layer (14) is configured by laminating a first adhesive layer having high adhesiveness to the electrolyte membrane (11), a barrier layer, and a second adhesive layer having high adhesiveness to a strength maintaining layer and the connecting member (20) in this order. Adhesive strength can be further improved by arranging a connecting member side adhesive layer also on the bent section (23) of the connecting member (20).
