A camera lens driving module and a controlling method thereof are provided to complete a rotative driving action in a shorter time through current sensing, and to prevent a rotative driving force from being applied in an interrupted state through the current sensing, thereby avoiding current loss. When an operation signal is inputted in a standby state, a controller(21) outputs a driving control signal according to the operation signal, and outputs a driving interruption control signal according to a current sensing value. A motor driving IC(Integrated Circuit)(22) outputs a driving current when the driving control signal is inputted, and stops outputting the driving current if the driving interruption control signal is inputted. A motor(23) rotates a camera lens when the driving current is inputted, and stops driving the camera lens if supply of the driving current is interrupted. A current sensing unit(24) senses the driving current to output the current sensing value to the controller.
