<p>There are disclosed a ceramic porous membrane formed with less membrane f ormation times and having less defects, a small and uniform thickness and a high resolution, and a ceramic filter. A silica membrane (1) as a ceramic po rous membrane is formed on a titania UF membrane (14) as an ultrafiltration membrane (a UF membrane) formed on a porous base member (11) which is a micr ofiltration membrane (also referred to as an MF membrane) and having an aver age pore diameter smaller than that of the porous base member (11), the sili ca membrane has an average pore diameter smaller than that of the titania UF membrane (14) and a part of the silica membrane permeates the titania UF me mbrane.</p> |
