Disclosed is a method for forming a reagent layer in an analysis apparatus, which comprises: a first step for retaining a reagent-containing solution in a base material; and a second step for drying out the reagent-containing solution. The reagent-containing solution may comprise a reagent and a tetraborate salt as a drying-accelerator. The tetraborate salt may be contained in the reagent-containing solution in an amount of 1 g or more relative to 100 ml of the reagent-containing solution. Preferably, the tetraborate salt is sodium tetraborate or potassium tetraborate.
