An outer ring (11a) for a rocking bearing has a raceway surface (12a) on the bore side and flanges (13a, 13b) formed by bending both ends in the axial direction of the outer ring to the bore side. The flanges (13a, 13b) have bends (17a, 17b) for holding a retainer placed on the bore side. By this, the bends (17a, 17b) can hold the retainer. Even if the retainer tends to move to the bore side of the outer ring (11a), the bends (17a, 17b) catch the retainer to prevent it from moving to the bore side, preventing falling of rollers and the retainer out of place.
