A checking system includes a gauge (1) with movable feelers, a position transducer adapted to provide electrical signals representative of displacements of the feelers, a wireless transmission system for transmitting the electrical signals and a battery electrically connected to the position transducer and to the wireless transmission system. An inductive charge device for contactless charging the battery includes a stator (20) with primary windings and secondary windings in the gauge (1).
