A camera module and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent pressure rising in a housing by exhausting vapor gas generated as adhesive is hardened. A camera module includes an image sensor, a substrate, a housing(130), an infrared ray shielding member, and a lens barrel. The image sensor is mounted on the substrate. The housing has a step portion(133), a ventilating groove(135), and an elongated groove(137). The housing, adhered on the substrate, is hollow for allowing light to enter the image sensor. The infrared ray shielding member is installed on the lower part inside the housing and shields infrared ray included in the light inputted through the hollow. The lens barrel has a lens inside and is screwed to the upper side of the housing. |
