A method of and system for cleaning a surface applies a first fluid to th e surface by feeding the first fluid from a unitary cleaning receptacle remo vably secured to a cleaning unit and moves the unitary cleaning receptacle r elative to the cleaning unit to agitate the cleaning solution. A second flui d is applied from the unitary cleaning receptacle to the surface and at leas t a portion of the first fluid and at least a portion of the second fluid ar e captured in a recovery compartment of the unitary cleaning receptacle.
