METHOD OF PROVIDING INFORMATION FOR CONFIGURING A BROADCASTING SCREEN AND THE DVB-H SYSTEM THEREFOR

A method for providing broadcasting screen configuration information and a DVB-H(Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld) system for the same are provided to configure a screen so as to be suitable for an intention of a service providing company when reproducing each channel or contents, thereby providing various screens suitable for the kind and characteristics of contents. A method for providing broadcasting screen configuration information comprises the following steps of: receiving an FDT(File Delivery Table) instance based on partition declaration information(505); determining whether Midlet file information is inserted into the FDT instance(510); if so, extracting and storing the Midlet file information inserted into the FDT instance(515); determining whether a Midlet file linked to a broadcasting service is present if a specific broadcasting service is executed by a user(535); if so, configuring a broadcasting screen by using the linked Midlet file(540); and if not so, configuring a broadcasting screen by using a default Midlet file(545).
